PostNL’s e-fulfilment business sells its expertise in warehousing, delivery, credit checking and other logistics to internet retailers. One of the driving forces behind their warehousing solution is a machine called ‘AutoStore’. ‘AutoStore’ looks like a giant Rubik’s Cube and on top drive various robots that dig up orders for webshops 24hours a day, 7 days a week. PostNL asked us to develop the promotional film and photography for their campaign. For this project we developed the concept, wrote the script and shot the film and photography in the middle of the night. The shoot was planned at midnight because only then there was a time-window for operational downtime. This so we were able to let the robots drive in the direction that works best for film and photography.
